Effective communication through email and text messages plays a vital role on the Investorlift platform, facilitating connections between buyers, sellers, and investors. However, challenges related to email deliverability can, at times, disrupt this essential means of interaction. By understanding the common reasons behind these problems and taking steps to address them, users can enhance their experience on the platform and ensure that emails reach their intended recipients. In this article, we will delve into common deliverability issues encountered by Investorlift users, with a focus on understanding the underlying reasons behind these challenges.
The reasons behind email and SMS deliverability issues:
If your buyer list contains buyers who have unsubscribed from email, buyers who haven't opted in to receive text messages, or those categorized as Bad Email, this will lead to a decrease in the list of recipients when you attempt to send out a blast. The system will not consider those who have chosen not to receive notifications from the platform. This can have a direct impact on your email deliverability and engagement rates. Here, we will provide detailed explanations for each scenario.
-
Bad Email.
When an email is repeatedly rejected by the receiving server, it gets categorized and flagged as "Bad Email" by our system. Factors leading to email placement in the Bad Email list:
- The email address does not exist
- Bounced Address
- The recipient is blocking emails

-
Opt-out from email.
One common issue related to email deliverability is the unsubscribing process. Investors and buyers using Investorlift might occasionally opt out of receiving emails.

-
Buyers opted out of SMS.
Text deliverability issues can also stem from sending text messages to recipients who haven't explicitly opted to receive them. It's essential to respect buyers’ preferences and only send text messages to those who have consented to receiving communication from you. This can be addressed by implementing an opt-in process, ensuring that buyers have willingly subscribed to receive text messages.

To find buyers with deliverability issues, you can utilize our deliverability filter in the Buyers data. Here's how:
-
Navigate to Buyers.
-
Click on Filters.

- On the right-hand side, locate Send channels.

- You will find a dropdown menu for both Email and SMS.
- Select both Can't receive Emails and Can't receive SMS.

- Finalize by clicking the green button labeled Filter Buyers.
This will display those buyers who have opted out of receiving text messages or emails from Investorlift, as well as those with Bad email.
Troubleshooting Notification Settings for Property Inquiries
It's possible that you may not receive notifications about your property inquiries. One of the primary reasons for this is when the switch toggle is set to the ON side. When it's in the ON position, the buyer can immediately see the address after making a request if it's checked. As a result, you may stop receiving notifications.
To rectify this, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to Settings.
- Access Disposition Settings.
- Scroll down and to DEALS SITE SETTINGS ensure that the toggle switch is positioned to OFF.
